I’d like to mention that today is the Columbian Nobel laureate, Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s birthday!
He is my favorite writer! I have read four of his books.
By the way: he is now 82 years old!

Gabo is a GREAT writer. Sadly, he hasn’t written a great book in a long time :S I even thought the last one was rather mediocre. I still love his masterpieces, though.
yes, I totally agree. Love in the Time of Cholera and One Hundred Years of Solitude were excellent!
He’s my fave, too. I’ve read 8 of his books and plan to read all. How sad that he’s getting old. I wish he’ll be able to finish the rest of his autobiography (two more volumes, supposedly).
